Putt Day tips

These are not a secret line. They are what the rules imply once you have dragged the ball a few times. I am labeling them as rule-based advice, not as a measured ace on a numbered hole.

Power is the length of the drag

You pull the ball back and release. Farther pull, harder hit. On a short hole I start with a small pull and add length only after I see the roll. There is no timing meter like Daily Holes. Mixing the two games up is how you sail the water.

Water

Water returns the ball to where it was. The first shot that goes in the water does not count. Later water shots do. I use the free first miss to learn the slope, then I commit. That is a reading of the rule, not a guarantee on every custom community hole.

Race versus score

The site cares who finishes first as well as how few strokes you take. If you are chasing the first-finish mark, a safe three can lose to someone else's risky two. If you only want a clean card, ignore the race and play the dry line.

Questions I keep getting

Does this transfer to Daily Holes?

Only the idea of reading the green. Daily Holes uses a timing meter and ring scoring, not a drag.
